Salix purpurea 'Green Dicks'
This is a small and slender shrub suitable for
                                fine baskets. Coppicing will
enable it to be used in a border where the many
fine branches can serve as an anchor. After the
leaves drop off in the autumn, the stems intensify
to a very bright green colour.
According to Christopher Newsholme in the book
Willow: The Genus Salix, Salix purpurea is
bitter and unpalatable to livestock and rabbits.
