Salix interior - Long Leaf or Sandbar Willow
                    aka S. purpurea var longifolia

Long leaf willow is native to North America where
it is found on sand bars and on moist alluvial
soil. The vigorous spreading is useful for soil
                                stabilization near streambanks. Also,
the glossy branches with 8-15 cm long leaves add
colour and interest to the landscape especially
                                when massed.
