A frequently used willow for items requiring heavier wood such as rustic furniture and trellises. For these items, trim back every three or four years allowing the rods to develop to the desired weight. Early spring leaves are translucent and ornamental.

Description: medium shrub; 3 m (10'); yellow / green new growth, maturing to reddish brown; colourful, translucent young leaves and attractive catkins

Conditions: full sun to part shade; thrives with regular watering; tolerates poor soil; prune for utility
