Salix cinerea 'Tricolor' - Variegated Grey Sallow
'Tricolor' will perform best with a light trim
in autumn. Small in size and easily managed, Tricolor's
decorative foliage starts out
as a rusty red colour fading to marbled pink and
is an excellent choice for many locations.
Description: medium branching
shrub; 3-6 m (10-20'); leaves dull green, obovate

and flat, with the narrow end attached to the
stalk) with marble pink and cream variegation
Ideal conditions: full sun
to part shade; natural habitats are fens and marshes;
will tolerate drier poor soil; responds to regular
watering; will grow in acid soil; good for mine
reclamation sites
