| Sesleria albicans - Balkans
Moor Grass Most varieties of Sesleria are desirable garden plants.
All but a few bloom in very early spring and S. albicans
is one of them. Also, like the others, S. albicans is both
vigorous and deep rooted. Hence they are all drought tolerant,
but will flourish in moister conditions. In very early spring, you will enjoy the multitude of light
blue bauble-like flowers that bloom at the same time as
daffodils. Sesleria albicans is different than S. caerulea by having
darker leaves and much lighter flowers. We are listing more
and more Seslerias because they are great grasses and we
