Pseudoroegneria spicata ssp spicata - Bluebunch Wheatgrass

aka Agropyron spicatum

Native to the western states of North America (east of the Cascade mountains) - from Canada to Mexico. This makes it well-suited for hot dry landscapes and 'no water' gardens. Attractive when dormant and brown in the summer.

Bluebunch wheatgrass requires only 9" of precipitation annually.

Description: cool season; bunch forming
Foliage is grey-green; medium blade width; 30-60cm (12-24") in height
