Nassella viridula - Green
Needle Grass
aka Stipa viridula
Native to the mixed-grass prairie habitat, Green needle
grass is best used at the far edges of the lawn where it
can benefit from the extra water. This bit of extra care
is needed for this plant to look its best. A good way to
see the full potential is to first grow it in ample sized
containers.
Does best with high humidity.
Used for wildlife and naturalized areas. It is also a good transition
plant between the cultivated garden and the landscape beyond.
